| Zusammenfassung: | This paper addresses the question of how the public in many European countries and the US perceived the danger of the radiation fallout from Chernobyl and how they reacted to the management of risk in each country. In addition, the lessons learned about communicating risk are discussed on the basis of studies of public attitudes and the effects of media coverage. |
