    Alte und neue Sprachkonzepte: Einstufung und Bewertung
    (1990) Ludewig, Jochen
    Die "4th Generation Languages" entsprechen dem Katalog einer Fertighausfabrik. Lösungen können aus vorhandenen Komponenten schnell und billig zusammengesetzt werden - oder sie sind nicht möglich. Die Stärken liegen also in Geschwindigkeit und Kosten von Standardlösungen, die Schwächen in der mangelnden Flexibilität bei speziellen Problemen, insbesondere auch bei der Erweiterung vorhandener Software-Systeme.

    People make quality happen (or don't)
    (1994) Ludewig, Jochen
    In a free market, every demand will result in a supply. So, if everybody wants high quality software, why don't we have it? This article analyses the actual demand, and the expectations of producers and customers in the software market. Various aspects of software quality are discussed, and a taxonomy is provided (chapter 2). The actual need for high quality software, and the obstacles to producing it, are discussed in chapters 3 and 4. Chapter 5 addresses the relationship between price and quality. Finally, in chapter 6, the cultura] aspects of high quality are presented.

    SESAM - simulating software projects
    (1992) Ludewig, Jochen; Bassler, Thomas; Deininger, Marcus; Schneider, Kurt; Schwille, Jürgen
    Teaching software engineering as well as researching in this area is very tedious due to the length and costliness of software projects. SESAM (Software Engineering Simulation by Animated Models') therefore is designed as a simulator for software projects, allowing students to gain reality-like experiences in project management and researchers to evaluate hypotheses on the mechanisms influencing software projects. This paper focuses on the basic assumptions for SESAM, its building blocks and the way hypotheses are affecting the simulation. After a short description of the requirements for SESAM, the authors introduce objects, attributes, actions, relationships between objects, and hypotheses as its basic concepts. They present attributed graph grammars as a means for representing hypotheses. Finally they position their project with respect to related work, and they show its present a state and future development.

    "Software-Entsorgung" : Vorträge und Podiumsdiskussion
    (1990) Ludewig, Jochen
    Nach der landläufigen Vorstellung vom Programmierer ist dieser unablässig damit beschäftigt, Software zu entwickeln, selbstverständlich neue Software. Denn Programme verschleißen nicht; einmal fertiggestellt, stehen sie für unbegrenzte Zeit zur Verfügung, ohne weitere Kosten zu verursachen.
