    Synthese und Struktur des Tetra(tert-butyl)tetrarsetans und des Tetra(tert-butyl)tetrastibetans (Element-Element-Bindungen ; 1)
(1982) Mundt, Otto; Becker, Gerd; Wessely, Hans-Jürgen; Breunig, Hans Joachim; Kischkel, Helmut

Investigation of the dynamic system behaviour of pump cases
    (1993) Heisel, Uwe; Fiebig, Wieslaw
Hydraulic pumps convert mechanical power into hydraulic fluid power. During this process, alternating forces in hydraulic pumps incite vibrations in the pump case and are responsible for the structure-borne noise. Mainly dynamic forces in bearings are the source causing structure-borne noise which generates finally air-borne noise. For this reason, those dynamic forces have been investigated based on a dynamical model. The structure borne noise has been measured on the pump case surface. The natural vibrations of the pump case have been determined by the Finite Element Method for several boundary conditions. The comparison between calculated and measured natural vibrations indicates that the coupling of the pump parts influences the dynamic behaviour of the case.

A combined distance and surface profile measurement system for industrial applications : a european project
(1994) Docchio, Franco; Perini, Umberto; Tiziani, Hans J.
The paper reports the design, development and characterization of an electrooptical equipment suitable for distance measurements and three-dimensional gauging of surfaces of industrial interest. The equipment comprises a dual-wavelength heterodyne interferometer for absolute distance measurements with a range of 20 m and an accuracy of 0.1 mm, that is integrated with a macroscopic scale, adaptive profilometer for threedimensional measurement of the shape to 1 mm. The performance of the equipment is well suited for effective operation in industrial metrology. The equipment has been developed by three partners, namely the Dipartimento di Elettronica per I’Automarione of the University of Brescia, the Sezione Diagnostica Elettroottica of ClSE, Milan, and the lnstitut for technische Optik of the University of Stuttgart, in the framework of a European Project partially funded by the Community Bureau of Reference.

Bessere Nutzung von Bearbeitungszentren durch flexible Automatisierung
    (1984) Heisel, Uwe

Differential patterns of dynamic cardiovascular regulation as a function of task
(1993) Hurwitz, Barry E.; Nelesen, Richard A.; Saab, Patrice G.; Nagel, Joachim H.; Spitzer, Susan B.; Gellman, Marc D.; McCabe, Philip M.; Phillips, Donna J.; Schneiderman, Neil
In cardiovascular reactivity studies, interpretations of the processes supporting the blood pressure response may become problematic when systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate all increase in response to a behavioral challenge. Therefore, in addition to evaluating these cardiovascular responses, this study examined cardiac output, total peripheral resistance and systolic time intervals derived from impedance cardiogram, electrocardiogram and phonocardiogram recordings during a speech Stressor, a mirror tracing task, and a foot cold pressor test. All of the behavioral Stressors elicited increases in blood pressure and heart rate, with the largest changes occurring during the overt speech. Based on the examination of the response patterns of the underlying hemodynamic variables it would appear that, in both men and women, the blood pressure increase during the speech preparation period was supported by increased cardiac output; the speech itself resulted in a mixed pattern of increased cardiac output and total peripheral resistance; whereas, the mirror tracing and cold pressor tasks produced increased total peripheral resistance. Although men and women produced similar response patterns to the behavioral challenges, sex differences in the estimates of myocardial contractility were observed during rest. These results provide evidence that different behavioral stressors can produce a distinct yet integrated pattern of responses, whose differences may be revealed, when impedance cardiography is used, to derive sufficient response measures for assessing dynamic cardiovascular processes.

Electrons and holes in InSb under crossed magnetic and stress fields. 4, Stimulated Raman scattering in the valence bands
(1988) Wolfstädter, Bernd; Trebin, Hans-Rainer; Pascher, Harald; Häfele, Hans-Georg
In a series of four papers magnetooptical transitions are presented for InSb crystals, which are subjected to uniaxial stress perpendicular to the magnetic field. Here, in the first paper, we establish an 8×8 k⋅p Hamiltonian matrix for stress Tǁ[100] and field Bǁ[001] and diagonalize it exactly. The dependence of valence and conduction states on stress and longitudinal momentum is discussed and compared with the geometry of parallel fields TǁBǁ[001]. Characteristic features are extracted for inter- and intraband transitions. Under crossed fields, the levels are separated much stronger with stress, yielding more insight than in the parallel configuration.

    Opto-electronic pattern recognition system
(1970) Tiziani, Hans J.; Beyeler, Bernhard H.; Witz, Werner
An opto-electronic technique for the classification of grains of photographic emulsions by shape is described. Fortunately, the shapes to be distinguished differ only in their two-dimensional rotational symmetry group. A special optical filtering procedure has been developed to take account of the implied positional and rotational invariance. The transfer from the optical to the electrical signal is obtained in a simple manner. The method works satisfactorily even for a rather complicated cluster. Some results are discussed.

FT-IR investigations of BEDO-TTF and radical salts of BEDO-TTF
(1993) Moldenhauer, Jörg; Pokhodnia, Konstantin I.; Schweitzer, Dieter; Heinen, Ilsabe; Keller, Heimo J.
We investigated powder absorption spectra of the donor BEDO-TTF and some radical salts of BEDO-TTF, which are metals even at low temperatures. After an assignment of the bands in the neutral donor we found in the radical salts different vibrational frequencies of bands correlated with C-O vibrations. These frequencies are directly related to the average charge on the donor molecule. Additionally frequencies of CH2-stretching vibrations exhibit differences, which can be ascribed to a varying strength of donor-anion interaction depending on the respective anion.
