The subject of this work is the development of a physical model together with an appropriate numerical calculation method for the prediction of transient wave propagation in flexible hydraulical lines. The main target consists in construction of a model, which is applicable within calculations of complex hydraulic systems. Therefore efficiency of the numerical model is an imortant factor of the conducted research. The physical model itself is based on the conservation laws of the fluid, regarding wall motion of a line. For the emerging quasi two-dimensional form multiple calculation schemes are developed. The discretization of conservation laws is based on a Godunov-type method of second order, whereat schemes developed started from different formulations are discussed and compared. For the integration of a calculation scheme for the wall motion in the flow calculation scheme following methods are introduced: sequential, iteratively-staggered and directly coupled. For modeling of wall motion either simple approaches are used, which reflect relations between the fluid states and strain of the line by algebraic dependencies, as well as models that take into account vibrations of the pipe in radial and axial directions. For the constructed numerical schemes a treatment of boundary conditions is presented, which allows a realization of a coupling between line model and a further element in within one calculation. The coupling scheme fulfills conservation and is independent from the discretization method so that neighbour model can use any type of numerics. This allows an application of the constructed models within simulation of complex hydraulic systems. An implementation of the line models within a simulation enviroment is provided and used for verification and validation. Verification is performed on some theoretical tasks as well as on calculations of a constructed experimental setup for measurement of pulse propagation within hydraulical pipes. Aditionally simulations of a test bench for measurement of high-pressure pumps according to previously executed experiments are performed using the implemented models for representation of flexible hoses of the setup.en
