Technikfolgenabschätzung zur Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik : Workshopdokumentation

Abstract

In der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik findet ein grundlegender und potentiell folgenreicher technischer Umbruch statt. Eine Expertenbefragung hat gezeigt, daß ein noch ungedeckter Bedarf für Arbeiten der Technikfolgenabschätzung zu diesem Wandlungsprozeß besteht. Die Akademie für Technikfolgenabschätzung in Baden-Württemberg nahm dies zum Anlaß für einen Workshop, auf dem Vertreter verschiedener Fachrichtungen Forschungsdefizite und Forschungsaufgaben diskutierten. Der Arbeitsbericht dokumentiert die Beiträge und Diskussionen dieses Workshops. Die Ergebnisse fließen in die weitere Arbeit der TA-Akademie ein, können aber auch Anregungen für andere Einrichtungen geben. A fundamental and potentially momentous process of change is taking place in information and communications technology. As an expert survey has shown, there is a need for more technology assessment activities tackling this process. This gave the impetus to the Center of Technology Assessment in Baden-Württemberg to organize a workshop with experts from various research disciplines. The experts discussed the deficits of present technology assessment work and some possible tasks for the future. This report documents the speeches and discussions. The workshop results are an input for further activities at the Center of Technology Assessment but may also provide a stimulus to other institutions.
