Abstract

Bedrich Schnirch, remarkable Czech designer, has realized more constructions of chain bridges. Already in year 1826 has been granted to him a patent of hanged roofs; in our region he has realized more constructions of this type. In year 1965 has been found in Banská Bystrica one of the known hanged roof constructions, which is in utilization till this time and is serving good to its purpose.
