dc.description.abstract	The article describes a fragment of the long-term design program: domestic tape-recorders, accomplished by VNIITE designers. The notions of the typological model and of the procedure of typological designing are introduced. Some problems of marketing are discussed. Groups of typological models of tape-recorders, characteristic of various life styles are described: classical, instrumental, portable and youth types. Problems of design development within industries producing domestic radioelectronics are analyzed.	en
