Abstract

Pecularities common to procedures employed in estimating by the Monte-Carlo method of the depth energy spectrum in heterogenous tissue-equivalent media are described. Quantitative characteristics for normal incidence of an electron beam carrying an energy of 5 and 18 MeV on phantoms consisting of flat layers of the fatty, muscle, bony and pulmonary tissues are reported.
