AlCl3, gebunden an PEI bzw.
The extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy is a modern spectroscopic method. In this thesis, the structure parameters of Ti/Al Ziegler-Natta catalysts, of polymer bound AlCl3 and of amorphous phthalocyanines containing ruthenium, titanium, sodium, magnesium and aluminium are analysed by EXAFS spectroscopy. The Ziegler-Natta systems consist of a mixture of Cp2TiCl2 and EtAlCl2 in toluene with a ratio of 1:1 and 1:5. The structures of these systems and selected reference compounds have been determined by EXAFS and fluorescence EXAFS (FLEXAFS) spectroscopy. A chemical resistant sample cell has been designed for FLEXAFS experiments. A structural model for Cp2TiClAlkyl (Alkyl = Ethyl or n-Butyl) with a dimeric structure and two Ti-Cl-Ti bridges was deduced. The tendency to form dimeric structures is essentially smaller in case of the 1:1 and 1:5 mixtures of Cp2TiCl2 and EtAlCl2 in toluene. The most effective catalyst for the Friedel-Crafts reactions was received with AlCl3 bound to PEI or to PEI/HMDC (short chains). For this class of catalysts a distorted octahedral environment around the aluminium could be found for the following polymers, dotted with AlCl3: PEI, PEI/HMDC (short chains), PVA and PEG. Lengthening of the chain of PEI/HMDC (long chains) or replacing the HMDC by PS reduces the activity of the Friedel-Crafts catalyst drastically. Ruthenium phthalocyanines, which are not substituted at the ruthenium atom with any additional ligand, form a quadratic pyramid with the ruthenium atom outside the plane formed by the four nitrogen atoms of the inner ring of the macrocycle. In case of the oligomeric ruthenium phthalocyanines the distance of the ruthenium atom to the ligand (a heterocyclic compound) considerably decreases compared with the corresponing distance of the monomeric ruthenium phthalocyanines. Finally, the structure of phthalocyanines with light elements (Na, Mg, Al, Ti) was deduced.
