    Statics and dynamics of simple fluids on chemically patterned substrates

    The thesis is on the theoretical investigation of the equilibrium wetting behaviour and the Navier-Stokes dynamics of fluid droplets on chemically patterned substrates. The description of equilibrium wetting is based on the capillary model and the Navier-Stokes dynamics is simulated by means of the Lattice-Boltzmann method.
