Collimating laser diodes with hybrid optics
(1993) Haupt, Christoph; Jäger, Ernst; Rothe, Andreas; Daffner, Michael; Tiziani, Hans J.
The aim of our investigation is to transform the divergent laser beam emitted by a high power laser diode (HPLD: 250mW, 807nm) in order to increase the efficiency of a HPLD pumped solid state laser. In general it is difficult to correct and collimate the laser beam, because HPLDs show higher order modes depending on the injection current and the diode temperature. Each mode has its own characteristic wavefront.

Design of diffractive optical elements for CO2-laser material processing
(1993) Haupt, Christoph; Pahlke, Michael; Jäger, Ernst; Tiziani, Hans J.
In this paper we report on the design of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) for high power laser radiation. We modified the Fourier transform algorithm, which allows hologram calculation also for reflective type Kinoforms considering the tilted arrangement. To achieve light weighted DOEs which are resistend against intense laser radiation reflective DOEs in silicon were fabricated. The elements have been investigated with respect to the diffraction efficiency and the absorption values.

    Holographisch-optische Elemente zur Strahlformung : Teilprojekt A1
(1993) Haupt, Christoph; Pahlke, Michael; Jäger, Ernst; Tiziani, Hans J.
