Abstract: The design of a hydraulic structure in a cooling water circuit is described which serves the dual purpose of controlling the water levels in the system upstream and of providing a maximum oxygen uptake without discharging large amounts of air into the subsequent pressure duct in order to avoid blow-out problems.
