Cestoden der Gattung Mesocestoides : Funde bei Haus- und Wildtieren in der UdSSR, mit Prinzipien ihrer Systematik

Abstract

The original material on Mesocestoides specimens recoverd from 226 animals belonging to 17 mammal species and 1 bird species was studied. The following criteria of species belonging to Mesocestoides genus were ascertained: cirrus length, location of testes, form and situation of female genital glands in relation to the posterior end of the segment. The following six species of Mesocestoides genus were found in mammals of the USSR: M.kirbyi, M.lineatus, M.petrowi, M.beringi nov. sp., M.erschovi nov. sp. and M.zacharovae nov. sp. According to the literature data M.parlatus and Mesocestoides sp. Djaparidae, 1962 were registered in the birds of the USSR.
