Abstract

The use of hydraulic models for the solution of engineering problems has become accepted standard procedure in many areas. Apart from the classical problems of hydraulics, a number of new problem areas arise, which require modern measurement techniques and more sophisticated considerations on hydraulic similitude. The aim of the present brochure is to serve as an introduction to the discipline of hydraulic modelling and to convey to the practicing engineer the present state of the art of hydraulic modelling.
